I wanna say, a bit belatedly, how nice it was for Miles' Aunt Charlotte to come out to the left coast (from Texas) and spend some time with we three.

As you can see from the pictures, Miles loved getting to hang out with his Auntie. She even babysat while mom and dad escaped to the movies. Yeah!

Whoever said that learning to crawl is easy does not remember the ordeal! This morning I documented Miles struggles, as you see above. For the last few weeks he has successfully poised all of his 18 pounds on his hands and knees, and has even started rocking back and forth, but from there he does not know what to do. So, he does what we call a baby belly flop (see the bottom picture above for the aftermath). We cheer him on and give him the space that he needs, which is about all we can do. Go baby go!!

Here is mister Smiley Miley, as our friend Heather calls him, with the proud Gramps. We three cruised out to Albuquerque for a nice long weekend of relaxing and eating. Two of our favorite things to do!

Miles' cousin, Wyatt, was very excited to see him and enjoyed/wore him self out, running circles around Miles and Uncle Brian.

All in all, a good time was had!

Tee hee, Brian took off for work so I put Miles in the Red Sox outfit you see here. All the while I could hear Brian in my head saying "I loathe the Red Sox"........Jen if I get in to trouble, you are to blame!

By the way, Miles weighed in at 17 lbs. 2 ozs. and 26 and 1/2 inches long at his 6 (and 1/2) month check-up. This puts him in the 50% for both catagories. His big 'ole noggin' is still in the top 75% though! Lots o' room for that ginormous brain of his.

Here are the guys busy during dinner time.......Miles is kicking back with his left foot up while dad is showing him how to properly accept a spoon full of veggies.

Here is Mr. Miles with one of my dearest friends, Lisa Benne, who was in town on business for two nights. We went to a restaurant for dinner, called The Proud Bird, where they have plenty of retired war planes to check out, but there was not a single english gal in sight. har dee har har.....
